MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2012
Officers were called to the 100 block of Park Ave. for a domestic in progress where the male had been drinking and throwing things around. He left for the night, no charges were filed.
Officer was called to the 300 block of E. Oak where two males pulled up to the residence and another male jumped out of a vehicle and hit one of the males. Neither male wanted to file charges.
Officer took a report from a 17 year old female who did not want to live at home anymore. The parents had cut her curfew hours and she did not want to do her chores around the house anymore. She was advised that she may have to go to a foster home. She decided she would wait until she was 18 to move out.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Francis St. for a Heroin overdose. The 23 year old male subject was transported to a hospital and survived.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2012
Jennifer L. Greear, 28, Gillespie was cited for driving while license suspended and no insurance.
Officer was called to the high school for an unruly student. When the officer arrived, so did the father and took him home.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2012
Officer was called to the 500 block of Western to take a report from a male who was receiving harassing text messages. The two sending the text messages were contacted and advised to stop calling or texting the male subject. They both advised that he had been contacting them too and would like it all stopped.
Joshua A. Collins, 30, Mt. Clare was cited for improper U-turn at S. Macoupin and W. Spruce.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2012
Officer was called to the 300 block of Park Ave. for a possible burglary. The owner advised she had several items missing. This case is under investigation.
Officer received a call that a group of teenagers were pushing a grocery cart at Pine and Shelby that was taken from a business in the 400 block of S. Macoupin. The officer found them at Welfare Park and made them take the car back to the store.
Alexander C. Brown, 19, Gillespie was cited for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. Also, he was given a warning for improper lane usage.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2012
Ashley M. Evans, 23, Carlinville was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol when she was stopped at Route 4 and Virginia Ave. She posted bond and was released.
Officer took a report from a parent who reported his daughter had been shot by a air soft gun in the leg. The officer went to the residence where the juvenile had the gun and was told the other party did not want to press charges but to keep the gun inside.
Officer went to the 300 block of Park Ave. where he had received a complaint of a male subject tearing up city property next to his residence with a 4-wheeler.
Officer took a report that was a civil complaint from a male subject who had been parked at a park and a truck with large tires driving around caused gravel to hit his vehicle. The owner of the truck was contacted and advised it was not done intentional. The owner of the parked vehicle did not want to file any charges since it was an accident.
Matthew E. Rolando, 39, Gillespie was cited for no valid registration.
