SUNDAY, JANUARY 1, 2012
After a vehicle was stopped for a loud muffler after midnight, two females, both age 16 were cited for curfew under local ordinance.
Officer was called to the 300 block of Fillmore for a domestic in progress. When he arrived, found that there was nothing going on. The female believe it was her ex that called and reported it.
Adlynn B. Cope, 26, Gillespie was cited for driving while license suspended.
Officer was called to the 400 block of E. Maple where it was reported that someone was shooting an air soft gun at their front door. There was no damage to the door but two male juveniles were stopped in a vehicle that matched the description given. Both males, ages 15 and 16 were released to their parents and the gun was confiscated.

Susan C. Allen, 45, Staunton was cited for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2012
Officers handled several calls on criminal damage to property, where 3 young men started destroying property in Macoupin County’s venue and ended up in Gillespie. Several mailboxes and windows were destroyed in the Biddle, Rotary, South Macoupin, West Osie and West Baker area. Eric D. Edwards, 19, Gillespie, Brandon S. Schehl, 20, Hillsboro and Ryan M. Smith, 20, Gillespie were arrested by Gillespie Police and Macoupin County Sheriff’s Dept. and transported to Macoupin County jail. They were charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
Matthew D. Holmes, 20, Gillespie was arrested on a warrant out of Macoupin County for failure to appear on an uninsured motorist charge. He posted bond and was released.
Laura M.. Garrett, 27, Carlinville turned herself in on a warrant out of Macoupin County for failure to pay GAL fees. She posted bond and was released.
Officers were called to the 500 block of W. Burton for a domestic between a mother and her son. They had been arguing and the son left the residence for the rest of the night.
Ronald M. Burns, 23, Litchfield was arrested on a warrant out of Sangamon County for failure to appear on a drug related charge. He was transported to Macoupin County jail.
Rebecca A. Fenley, 39, Benld was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after striking a parked vehicle in the 400 block of W. Chestnut.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 6, 2012
Officers were called to the intersection of High and Burton for two female juveniles, ages 15 and 16 who were fighting. Also, there was a vehicle that left the scene with one of the girls. That vehicle was stopped and subjects were told to go to the police dept. The two juveniles were cited for fighting under local ordinances.
Derek J. Stevenson, 19, East Alton was cited for operation of uninsured motor vehicle.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2012
Officers were called to a business in the 100 block of E.. Maple by a male subject who had his bed sheets stolen out of the dryer at the laundromat, while he was gone for a short time. Another person there had the license plate of the subjects that took the sheets. The subjects that took the sheets were located and advised they were doing laundry for a relative and took them by mistake. The sheets were returned to the owner.
Meghan L. Zelenka, 25, Gillespie was cited for operation of uninsured motor vehicle.
After making a traffic stop, officer issued citations to Kourtney K. Kissell, 20, Plainview for No valid drivers license, unlawful display on a vehicle of license plate not authorized on such vehicle and no insurance. Her passenger, Daniel R. Warren, 25, Plainview was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, Charges on pending on Warren for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Andrew W. McAfee, 32, Bethalto was cited for Operation of uninsured motor vehicle.
