Members of United Methodist Church of Gillespie and Zion Lutheran Church of Mt. Olive presented a live nativity for the community. Over 100 people were in attendance.
The Sugar and Spice Girls from Gillespie Public Library sang Christmas Carols to residents at Heritage Health.
Ricky Mock and Michael Bussmann double team an offender in their game agaisnt Calhoun. The Miners went on to lose 67-42.
TJ Allan, co-founder of Shop BenGil, reveals the new e-commerce site to local business owners.
Dave Tucker, alderman of Gillespie, takes empty boxes to be recycled. We Care Recycling comes to Gillespie on the second Saturday of each month.
Kenny Cordum from the local food pantry speaks to the Rotary. Cordum said the pantry will serve about 442 families this year.
Richard Knoche serves up a box of cookies as the choir sings in the background during the GHS Choir's Annual Cookie Walk.
Rotarians Tobi Libbra and Sonya Levie load a box of oranges into a customer's truck. The Rotary sold a combined 250 cases of oranges and grapefruits this season.
Louann Brown delivered 140 new children's books to the Benld Library. The books were donated by Mary Harris Russell and members of SCBWI-IL.
Ellen Gray and Alexis Burns trap a girl at centercourt in their game against Mt. Olive this week. The Lady Miners ended up beating the Wildcats 66-37.
Seniors in the Village of Mt. Clare gathered for their annual Senior Christmas Dinner. About 50 seniors were in their party hats.
