LAWSUITS
Rex L. Tandy has filed a forcible entry and detainer complaint against Isaiah Tandy, seeking possession of residential premises located in the 800 block of Basswood Avenue, Royal Lakes, along with a judgment for attorney fees and court costs.
SMALL CLAIMS
Michael W. Mitchelar, Alhambra, is suing Michael and Christine Springman, Cottage Hills, for $6,927.68, plus attorney fees and court costs, the plaintiff claims he is owed on a lease to purchase contract the defendants allegedly entered into for the purchase of real estate in the 700 block of South Hibbard Street in Staunton.
Credit Acceptance Corp. is suing Tamarra L. Damm, Girard, for $5,997.10, plus court costs and $350 in attorney fees, allegedly owed on a defaulted auto loan executed in March 2013 for a principal amount of $10,880.82 at 22.99 percent interest for the purchase of a 2005 Dodge Caravan wagon.
Main Street Acquisition Corp., Norcross, Ga., has registered a foreign judgment entered in December 2011 in Rock County Circuit Court, Wisconsin, against Rebecca A. Heyen, Gillespie, in the amount of $7,417.21.
FELONIES
Dustin C. Hickey, 32, Benld, is charged with possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine in connection with a Sept. 17 incident in Staunton.
Kurtis P. Bellm, 35, Plainview, is charged with failing to register as a sex offender for allegedly failing to complete required registration with the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department by Aug. 25.
Theodore H. Hopper, 44, Gillespie, is charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Dec. 11, 2015, incident in Gillespie during which he allegedly possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
Thomas W. Rosewell, 57, Bunker Hill, is charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Sept. 17 incident in Bunker Hill during which he allegedly possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing amphetamine.
Juan V. Sanchez, 32, O’Fallon, is charged with possession of less than five grams of a methamphetamine in connection with a Sept. 18 incident in Mount Olive.
Melissa D. Miller, 36, Palmyra, is charged with criminal trespass to a residence, domestic battery and battery in connection with a Sept. 18 incident during which she allegedly entered a residence in the 500 block of Union Street, Palmyra, remained inside the home after recognizing that one or more persons was present in the home, burned her ex-boyfriend with a cigarette, and a struck a female present at the home in the head with her closed fist.
In separate case filings, Kenneth C. Jones, 34, Virden, and Amy R. Bolletto, 39, are charged with unlawful possession of a credit card belonging to another person, and theft. Charges against Jones allege he exercised unauthorized control over a credit card belonging to another person and charging $228.11 in purchases to the victim’s account. Charges against Bolletto alleged she also exercised unauthorized control over the same credit card, making purchases totaling $95.16.
Travis L. Fanning, 21, Carlinville is charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a July 8 incident in Carlinville during which he possessed an unspecified amount of AB-FUBINACA, a synthetic cannabis component.
Shawn A. Lee, 43, Carlinville is charged with possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine in connection with a June 8 incident in Carlinville.
Adam J. Wietes, 33, Carlinville, is charged with theft for allegedly exercising unauthorized control over more than $500 but less than $10,000 in cash belonging to Boy Scouts Pack 65, Carlinville, with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of the property.
Andre D. Watson, 37, East St. Louis, is charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license in connection with an Aug. 20 incident during which he allegedly drove a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix on Interstate 55 near milepost 44 at a time when his driver’s license was revoked. The charged was elevated to a felony due to nine previous convictions for the same of similar offenses between February 2010 and February 2016 in St. Clair County and a previous conviction from May 2012 in Monroe County.
James T. Allen, 38, Virden, is charged with possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine in connection with an Aug. 6 incident in Virden.
Austin M. Reese, 19, Carlinville, is charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a June 26 incident in Carlinville during which he possessed an unspecified amount of a type of synthetic cannabis.
Buddy J. McGee, 28, Godfrey, is charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a June 23 incident during which he allegedly possessed less than 15 grams of a substained containing heroin.
Ryan E. Heeren, 34, Gillespie, is charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license in connection with a Sept. 18 incident during which he allegedly drove a 2003 Chevrolet pick-up truck on Miles Station Road west of Illinois Route 159 at a time when his driver’s license was revoked. The charge was elevated to a felony due to a previous conviction for the same offense on Heeren’s record from October 2010 in Macoupin County.
MISDEMEANORS
Dennis Hamby, 20, Worden, is charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a person under the age of 21 in connection with a Sept. 4 incident.
Allan M. Springman, 33, Carlinville, is charged with domestic battery in connection with a Sept. 16 incident during which he allegedly made physical contact of a “provoking or insulting” nature by spitting in his wife’s face.
Casey M. Smith, 30, Wilsonville, is charged with domestic battery in connection with a Sept. 16 incident in Carlinville during which he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by her neck.
Trenton W. Rhodes, 25, Milton, Florida, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a July 10 incident during which he allegedly possessed more than 2.5 and less than 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Martin L. Landes, 58, Palmyra, is charged with open burning in connection with an Aug. 12 incident during which he caused or allowed the open burning of a demolished house.
Eriel R. Adams, 37, Gillespie, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis in connection with a May 21 incident in Gillespie during which he allegedly possessed a multi-colored pipe used for smoking marijuana and 2.5 to 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Carl L. Stark, 37, Carlinville, is charged with battering in connection with an Aug. 24 incident in Carlinville during which he made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature by pushing another male in the chest.
Tina L. Desherlia, 45, Gillespie, is charged with failing to comply with a dangerous dog order in connection with a July 26 incident during which she allegedly allowed a dog that had previously been declared dangerous to run at large without a muzzle.
Harlie R. Rice, 19, Carlinville, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis in connection with an April 2 incident during which he allegedly possessed a multi-colored glass pipe used for smoking marijuana and less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Casie L. Joyce, 36, Alton, is charged with obstructing identification in connection with an Aug. 2 incident in Brighton during which she allegedly provided a false name to a Brighton police officer.
Joseph P. Emerson, 23, Carlinville, is charged with two counts of obstructing identification in connection with a Sept. 9 incident during which he allegedly provided a false name to a Carlinville police officer, and a Sept. 23 incident during which he allegedly provided a false name to a Brighton police officer.
John M. Molinar, 30, Staunton, is charged with theft in connection with an Aug. 9 incident during which he allegedly exercised unauthorized control of a cell phone with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of the property.
Justin B. Parker, 31, Carlinville, is charged with violating an order of protection in connection with a Sept. 19 incident during which he allegedly sent a text message to a female who was subject to a court order of protection against him.
Taryn L. Fuchs, 22, Rochester, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a June 18 incident during which she allegedly possessed more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Thomas E. Reeves, 32, Kansas City, Mo., is charged with criminal trespass to railroad property in connection with a Sept. 20 incident during which he allegedly walked along a railroad right-of-way near Piasa at a location other than a public crossing.
Joseph C. Anderson, 34, Riverton, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a June 18 incident during which he allegedly possessed more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Brandon E. Pocklington, 21, Carlinville, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a July 17 incident in Carlinville during which he allegedly possessed more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Kendra J. Nix, 43, Carlinville, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a July 3 incident in Carlinville during which she allegedly possessed less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Elizabeth M. Dugan, 35, Gillespie, is charged with possession of cannabis in connection with a June 8 incident during which she allegedly possessed less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Thomas A. Burns, 23, Plainview, is charged with battery in connection with an Aug. 29 incident during which he allegedly struck another male in the head with his fist.
Brandy J. Murphy, 26, Virden, is charged with violation of a stalking/no contact order in connection with a Sept. 1 incident during which Murphy allegedly came within 500 feet of a residence in the 500 block of East Holden Street in Virden in violation of a stalking/no contact order issued by the court on Aug. 29.
Leslie R. Guthrie, 42, Girard, is charged with theft in connection with an Aug. 29 incident during which Guthrie allegedly exerted unauthorized control over property belonging to the City of Girard Water Department with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of the property.
Misty D. Hartline, 34, Carlinville, is charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Sept. 5 incident in Carlinville during which she allegedly threw a chair at the window of a residence, causing less than $300 in damage.
Isaac J. Page, 19, Staunton, is charged with battery in connection with an Aug. 4 incident in Bunker Hill during which he allegedly struck another male in the face with his fist.
Walter A. Wallace, 36, Gillespie, is charged with tattooing the body of a minor in connection with an incident in Gillespie during which he allegedly tattooed the body of an individual under the age of 18.
TRAFFIC
Harold L. Massey, 76, Brighton, is charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Sept. 20 incident shortly before 10 p.m. on Warren Street at Brighton Street in Bunker Hill. In addition, Massey faces traffic charges for alleged operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Casey L. Barton Conner, 30, Benld, is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Sept. 17 incident at 2:23 a.m. on Litchfield Trail at Sunset Road. She also was issued traffic citations for allegedly making an improper turn at an intersection and driving on the wrong side of a two-lane roadway.
Henry Dean Starrett II, 48, Brighton, is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Sept. 20 incident at about 11:23 p.m. on Interstate 55 near milepost 43.5. He also faces a traffic charge for alleged illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver.
Benjamin C. Klein, 39, Wood River, is charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Sept. 22 incident at about 9:30 p.m. on Hibbard Street at Fifth Street in Staunton. He also faces traffic charges for allegedly operating an uninsured motor vehicle and stopping to make a left turn with properly signaling.

Staunton man found guilty of criminal sexual assault

BenGil StaffA verdict was rendered on Tuesday in about 35 minutes for a Staunton man who was found guilty of criminal sexual assault.
Dillard Dehart Jr., 66 of Staunton, was charged with the offense on February 17, 2022, after his niece had accused him of the offense and had secretly recorded parts of the offense.
The secretly recorded videos were played for the jury, according to Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison who called multiple witnesses and tried the case.
Sentencing for Dehart Jr. is set for October 4, 2023.
