SUNDAY, APRIL 1, 2012
Officer was called to the 1100 block of S. Macoupin where a male subject showed the officer his vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. Someone had damaged the driver’s side from the rear to the front of the vehicle. Parts of the other vehicle were found at the scene.
Officer took a report from a male subject who had his IPod stolen out of his friend’s vehicle while it was parked in the area of Gillespie & Green Streets while he played football in the park.
Officer took a report from a female who reported having her cell phone and charger stolen from a residence after some friends had left the residence. Also, a purse in a vehicle parked there had been gone thru but nothing taken.
Brandon M. Brown, 28, Mt. Olive was cited for disobeying a no passing zone.
Officer took a report from a female who had her car parked in the 200 block of E. Chestnut and found that she had scratches down the whole side of the driver’s side of her vehicle.
MONDAY, APRIL 2, 2012
Officer was called to the 400 block of LJ Avenue for a domestic in progress. The couple was arguing over the male taking the children for the day. Since there were no court papers, the children remained with their mother.
Officer was called to the 600 block of W. Charles for a domestic. When he arrived only the male was there but the female did arrive at the scene and said she wanted the male out of the residence by tomorrow but she and her child would leave for the night.
Officers were called to the 200 block of E. Elm for a domestic but the male had left on foot. The female showed the officers her injuries after the male pushed her. Later, the officers received a call of a male laying in the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of N. Macoupin. Alberto Soler, 49, Gillespie was arrested for domestic battery, intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was transported to Macoupin County jail.
Officers were called to the 300 block of E. Oak for a domestic between two brothers, ages 14 and 11 years old. The mother advised she was in the shower when the fight took place. DCFS hotline was called and they will send a caseworker to the residence.
TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2012
Officer took a report from a mother who said her son went over to vacant property in the 500 block of E. Walnut to feed a stray cat. The cat attacked him and scratched and bit him on the right arm. The cat was later caught and picked up by Macoupin County Animal Control.
Officer took a report of a domestic in progress in the 600 block of W. Charles where a female had been battered by a male and then the male hit a child in the stomach. Larry M. Leffew, 33, Gillespie was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Macoupin County jail.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2012
Officer was called to the 300 block of E. Oak for a domestic in progress. When the officer arrived, the suspect, an uncle of the victim had left the scene. The victim was checked by ambulance personnel but was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. The suspect, Jeffrey A. Cox, 31, Gillespie was located and arrested for Domestic Battery. He was transported to Macoupin County jail.
Orville D. Burris, 71, Benld was cited for no valid registration.
Kerri D. Felchlin, 29, Edwardsville was cited for having no insurance.
THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 2012
Officer took a report from a resident in the 500 block of E. Walnut who had someone drive a vehicle thru a fence in his yard. He did find a grill laying in the yard.
