David J. Smith, 68, Lovington was cited for improper backing when he back into a vehicle that was behind him at a stop sign.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2012
Officer took a report from a parent in the 300 block of Park Avenue, who said the kids from the 200 block were threatening his kids.. He wanted the officer to go tell the kids and their parents to stop threatening his kids.
Officer took a report from a mother who said her 16 year old daughter did not come home from school. The officer contacted a friend of the 16 year old and found out she was with her boyfriend.
He was contacted and he brought her to the police department to meet with her mother.
Christopher M. Watters, 31, Sawyerville was cited for possession of cannabis.
Wendi L. Goodson, 40, Gillespie was arrested for 2 counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and no insurance. She posted bond and was released.
Candace I Towell, 27, Greenville, was cited for failure to properly secure a child under age 8.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2012
Officer was called to the 500 block of W. Baker for a domestic disturbance. The female said the male hit her but there were no marks on her. The male and his friend said they were asleep when she pounded on the door in the early morning hours and they had a verbal argument. No charges were filed.
Officer took a report from a female who was receiving harassing phone calls from the father of her child while she had the child for a week. He was contacted and told to stop calling or charges could be filed.
Velma S. Morgan, 30, Gillespie was arrested on a warrant out of Sangamon County for failure to appear on a retail theft charge. She was transported to Macoupin County jail.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2012
Officer was called to the 200 block of E. Elm for a domestic which turned out to be a verbal argument. The male left the residence for the rest of the night.
THURSDAY, MARCH 1, 2012
George W. Smith, 28, Gillespie was arrested on a warrant out of Macoupin County for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended and another warrant out of Montgomery County for failure to appear on a battery charge. He was transported to Macoupin County jail.
FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2012
Officer took a report from a female who was having trouble with a child custody exchange. The male was threatening her because she did not want his new wife picking up the children. The wife arrived at the police department and the office went with her to pick up the children with no problems.

Amy L. Irwin, 34, Hillsboro was cited for having no insurance.
Danielle M. Hemken, 19, Wilsonville was cited for having no insurance.
Gregory D. Whaley, 24, Benld and Joshua D. Whaley, 22, Benld were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
